Comics de Robotech: the Macross saga

La serie consta de 36 tomos de la editorial Comico (los cuales DC/Wildstorm reimprimió tiempo después en 6 volumenes).

Breve Introducción: Los primeros eventos suceden durante Robotech Genesis: la leyenda de Zor, continúan luego en Robotech Genesis the Graphic Novel.

En el año 1999 la Tierra se encontraba envuelta en una guerra mundial (que raro), en ese año se estrella una nave alienígena gigantesca en una isla del Oceano Pacífico llamada Macross, lo cual impone un cese al fuego antes la amenaza de una posible invasión extraterrestre.

En el año 2010 (ya mero llegamos) la nave termina de ser restaurada por científicos y militares del gobierno de la Tierra unida, quienes toman los conocimientos de la nave para el desarrollo de la ciencia conocida como Robotech. Durante la inauguración de la nave comienza una invasión alienígena que trata de recuperarla inciando la primera guerra Robotech.

Cabe hacer mención que la idea original es la Macross japonesa, la cual fue adaptada por Carl Macek para ser transmitida por la Harmony Gold en E.U. Como ésta le pedía que fueran al menos 75 capítulos se tuvieron que comprar y adaptar las historias de Southern Cross y Mospead (que luego serían llamadas The Masters y New Generation respectivamente) para integrarlas y darles unidad bajo el concepto de Robotech y la protocultura...fiu
